As you know our color inspiration comes from the original designer, mother nature and I have to say she does a fabulous job! So with that being said, our color trend feature comes from the bright and beautiful peacock feather and the deep blue sea, teal and aqua. I am loving the use of these two colors. They are so FRESH and VIBRANT. You can mix them with bright colors, such as lime, orange or red. Or you can tone them down and combine them with jewel tones, such as deep purples and green, there are many color combinations and depending on which direction you go will set the tone of your wedding. So enjoy the beautiful inspiration!
Color Combination #1: Teal and Orange
I love this wedding! It took place on St. John’s Island at a little beach called Hawksnest. The bride chose to go with a teal and citrus orange. It is so fresh and fun, it fits the whole tropical feel, while keeping it sophisticated.
love the simplicity of this cake
Love the beautiful orange orchids against the bright teal table runner. And the white, just makes the color combination so fresh and beautiful.
Some fun colored flip flops for the guests. Again this wedding is a great source for color inspiration. I love it! The photography was done by Jules of julesbianchi.com. She did a fantastic job!
Color Combination #2: Teal and Navy
This is definitely a WOW wedding. Everything is so classy and beautiful. I love the bridesmaid’s hair pieces, so elegant….
Another great use of the color teal! These photos were taken by Amelia Lyon Photography

I know this has nothing to do with weddings, romance or relationships…but I thought I would share our little family with you. They are having a little drama on their own. SO here is the story. First there was Zora, she is a border collie/husky mix. She was my first. I got her when she was six weeks old, which was five years ago and we have been together through the thick and thin. She is way too smart for her own good, and she can definitely be the old lady at times.
Next is Bear, we got him about 2 years ago. I LOVE rottweilers and I was bound and determined to get another rottie. We found Bear at a kill shelter and he was a mess. Anemic, 60lbs under weight, and had heart worm. Obviously he is fine now…120lbs of fine and he is the SWEETEST guy you will ever meet. He does not see a dog or person that he does not like. His real name is Teddy Bear if that gives you any hint on how cuddly he is…
Then this is where the drama kicks in…I found a small cat in a parking lot. She came up to me and started to purr and meow. Of course she was saying TAKE ME HOME! So I did. My husband was like, seriously! But he knows I am a big animal lover. I swear I was going to take her to a shelter, but as I called around, everyone was full. So needless to say she has become a part of our family.
I am sure you can guess the drama…neither Zora or Bear has ever lived with a cat and the cats they do see they chase. So its been quite interesting. Keiko basically stays downstairs and the dogs remain upstairs. We are slowly integrating the two, but with Zora’s herding instincts, she wants to herd Keiko, so its been kind of difficult. And Keiko doesn’t seem to care for the dogs too much as well. But we are taking things day by day…
so these are the days of our lives and I will keep you updated as the drama progresses or degresses..which ever one takes place first.
